Monday – Measurement

A chord of a circle is:

  1. a line that looks like a musical note.
  2. the radius of a circle.
  3. any line segment that connects two points on a circle.
  4. a load of wood.

 


 

Tuesday – Geometry

The word capacity means:

  1. how much liquid (or pourable solid) a container can hold.

  2. how many tiles it takes to cover a floor.

  3. the number of sides on a box.

  4. a polygon with three sides.

 


 

Wednesday – Statistics and Probability

When a question refers to the measures of central tendency, they are referring to:

  1. the strategy people tend to use when solving a problem.
  2. the main idea of the problem.
  3. it is impossible to tell what they are talking about.
  4. mean, median, and mode.

 


 

Thursday – Calculations and Estimations

An example of consecutive numbers are:

  1. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5…
  2. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10…

  3. 21, 22, 23, 24…

  4. these are all examples of consecutive numbers.

 


 

Friday – Algebraic Relationships

When a mathematician uses the word sequence he/she is referring to:

  1. numbers that have more than 2 factors.

  2. a mathematical language that uses numbers and letters.
  3. numbers arranged according to some pattern – an example would be 3, 6, 9…
  4. a cube.
