Letter graded courses are the equivalent of regular classroom courses. Students receive a grade of A, B, C, D, or F. No credit is given for a grade of F.
Pass/No Pass courses provide opportunity for accelerated credit recovery, and are not recommended for college-bound students. Pass/No Pass courses are worth .5 credits and do not affect grade point average in the Salem-Keizer Public School District.
Students successfully completing a semester course will earn .5 Carnegie unit. Failure to fully complete a semester's course may result in lessened or no credit and a grade of F or No Pass as appropriate. Reduction of credit or failure to pass a course does not reduce or eliminate tuition charges.
